Winter has been put on notice this week, with warmer weather and a whole lot of melting. I actually found a field of grass big enough to play a mini game of soccer with my toddler. Okay, it was more like “pass the ball in and around the mud,” but that’s what rubber boots are made for, right? What once was an outdoor ice rink has been replaced with some brown grass and a bit of mud, and I’m as happy as a pig in… mud. Mud, it’s definitely mud.
Anyways, I bet you’re wondering what’s going on this weekend? It’s more than traipsing through mud, I promise you. Two big staples make the bulk of this week’s list—food and music. “Who could ask for anything more?” Well, you could, sure, but don’t be greedy.
Enjoy your weekend everyone, and don’t forget, St. Patrick’s Day is on Tuesday!

10) Sugar Shack 8
Where: Misery Loves Co, 46 Main Street, Winooski
When: Sunday, 5PM-9PM
I have to be honest, I just like to say Sugar Shack. And I know right now, you’re thinking, now say Sugar Shack 8 times fast. Well I did! Or I tried, and it was an entertaining way to spend 10 seconds. Anyways, the point of this post is actually about Misery Loves Co’s Sugar Shack 8 event, which is their annual celebration to indulge on the sweet and savory. Doors open at 5, and dinner starts at 5:30, so you need to be on time. But listen... the menu sounds delicious, and also a bit fancy mixed with a bit of fun (did I read “Chomeur Nuns’ Farts”?) Yes, yes I did. Bon appetit!
