Explore

Delicious, nutritious food that is fresh from our local producers is easier to access than ever. Just stop by any one of the various local farmers markets to stock up on your favorite fresh fruits, veggies, meats, cheese, breads and more. Most offer other wares and crafts, and entertainment, too. It’s a great excuse to picnic with your friends or family, and a great opportunity to connect with your community.

 

Unfortunately, most of our farmers market are closed over the winter season, but there are a still a couple markets available year round, and those are at the top of the list.

BURLINGTON FARMERS MARKET - SUMMER
Burlington

The Burlington Summer Farmers’ Market is held every Saturday, and the 2020 season is from June to October 17th. The new (temporary) location will be at 345 Pine Street, between the CSWD drop off site and Meyer’s Bagels (the old Greyhound station). More than 45 stands offer seasonal produce, baked goods, artisan wares, prepared foods, and more.

OLD NORTH END

FARMERS MARKET
Burlington

This farmers market is located in Dewey Park, in the Old North End of Burlington. It typically runs every Tuesday in the summer, from June through October, and is open from 3-6pm.

Due to COVID-19, this market is closed for the 2020 season.

SHELBURNE FARMERS MARKET
Shelburne

This market provides local Vermont vegetables, fruit, herbs, and honey maple syrup, as well as prepared foods and Vermont crafts. It is typically open on Saturday mornings from 9am-1pm on the Parade Green, late May to October.

JERICHO FARMERS' MARKET

Jericho

This agricultural-based producers market allows you to buy directly from the farmer or producer. You'll find local veggies, crafts, groceries and prepared food. It is open on Thursday afternoons from 3-6:30pm from June until October 1st, in Mills Riverside Park off Route 15.

UNIVERSITY OF VERMONT MEDICAL CENTER FARMERS MARKET 

Burlington

A farmers market is typically available all year in the Davis Concourse from 2:30-5pm on Thursday afternoons.

Due to COVID-19, this market is currently closed.

WINOOSKI FARMERS MARKET
Winooski

The Winooski Farmers Market brings you local produce, farm goods, artisan crafts, local prepared foods, musical entertainment and a fun interactive kid’s program, the Power of Produce (POP) Club. Set directly in front of the Champlain Mill along the banks of the Winooski River, the Farmers Market is typically open on Sundays from 10am-2pm, from mid-May through October.

RICHMOND FARMERS MARKET
Richmond

The goal of the Richmond Farmers Market is to provide fresh, local food and products to our community. The market is open on Friday afternoons, starting at 3:30-6:30pm. Seniors and other high-risk individuals can shop from 3-3:30pm. This market is open from June to October 16th on the Volunteers Green.

BURLINGTON FARMERS MARKET - WINTER

Burlington

The Winter Farmers’ Market is located inside the University of Vermont’s Dudley H. Davis Center, on the 1st floor in the Olin Atrium & Burack Lounge. From 10am-2pm, you’ll find 30+ vendors offering hardy produce, prepared foods, crafts, and more, on select Saturdays from November to April.

ISHAM FAMILY FARMERS MARKET
Williston

On each Tuesday from June 16th through August 18th, the Isham Family Farmers Market will be open with vendor stalls in the barn and outdoors, live music to enjoy, as well as landscaped lawns and gardens.
